Job summary

Capital Dynamics in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a creative and technically skilled Video Editor to shape in-house video content across internal communications, marketing, social media, events, training, and culture initiatives. You will edit raw footage into polished videos, handle post-production including sound design, color correction and basic animation, and ensure consistency of quality across platforms.

You will collaborate with internal teams to translate project goals into compelling visuals

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Media Arts, Communications, Marketing or related field.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating video editing and post-production work.
• Familiarity with motion graphics and visual effects.
• Proficiency in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or After Effects.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a creative and technically skilled Video Editor to join our growing team. This role focuses exclusively on in-house video production, supporting internal communications, marketing, social media, events, training, and company culture initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit and assemble recorded raw footage into polished engaging videos for a variety of internal uses and communications, marketing, training, events, and cultural initiatives;
• Manage all aspects of post-production, including video editing, sound design, basic animation, colour correction, and formatting for various platforms;
• Provide creative input and suggestions to enhance video content and overall production quality;
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand project requirements, objectives, and target audiences, and translate these into effective visual content;
• Perform additional duties related to video production if required. Assistance during any shooting process might be included if needed.

Requirements:

• Possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Media Arts, Communications, Marketing, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent practical experience and a strong portfolio will also be considered.
• Familiarity with motion graphics and visual effects.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Adobe After Effects or equivalent video editing tools is essential.
• Excellent eye for detail and the ability to maintain consistent quality across all videos.
