Job summary

HSBC’s Fixed Income Derivatives Middle Office Trade Processing team is seeking a high-calibre professional to join as Vice President, Head of FI Derivatives Middle Office Trade Control. You will drive global MOTC objectives and align with Operations and Front Office across Rates and Credit Derivatives post-trade activities.

This role focuses on trade validation, reconciliation of breaks, and the review of settlement discrepancies, delivering efficient controls and end-to-end lifecycle

Qualifications

• Experience in financial derivatives middle office operations.
• Ability to set and deliver global MOTC objectives.
• Strong risk management and trade validation knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead global Middle Office Trade Control objectives for FI Derivatives.
• Coordinate with Operations and Front Office to strengthen end-to-end controls and risk management.

The role also covers the investigation of internal and external system reconciliation breaks, as well as the review of trade documentation and the resolution of settlement discrepancy queries raised by the back office. We are seeking a high-calibre professional to join as Vice President, Head of FI Derivatives Middle Office Trade Control. This position is critical to the business, providing leadership and key control function that helps identify trade issues immediately after execution, strengthens end-to-end risk management, and drives simplification of the front-to-back trading lifecycle.
