Job summary

Cuddles Veterinary Clinic Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated animal care assistant to join our team. You will assist veterinarians during consultations, provide compassionate handling, and help prepare examination rooms and wards for procedures.

The role requires a love for animals and the ability to work with staff in a fast-paced clinic. Candidates should be reliable and punctual, with a willingness to learn and follow veterinarians' instructions.

Qualifications

• SPM & above.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
• A genuine love for animals and a compassionate attitude.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Previous experience in animal care or a veterinary setting is preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of animal behavior and handling techniques.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions from veterinarians.

Responsibilities

• Assist vets during consultations, treatments, and procedures.
• Provide compassionate animal handling and restraint for various procedures, ensuring the safety of patients and staff.
• Prepare and clean examination rooms & wards before and after use.
• Monitor and care for hospitalised patients, including feeding, walking, and observing their condition.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the clinic, including ward and common areas.
• Assist with inventory management and stocking of medical supplies.
• Support reception staff with administrative tasks when needed, including answering phones or assisting with client check-in/out.
• Monitor animal vital signs and report any changes to the veterinary team.
• Prepare animals for procedures, including administering medications and performing basic treatments.
