Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a vet assistant to support examinations, monitor animals, and assist during procedures. The role requires patient handling, medication administration, and daily cage cleaning in a busy clinic environment.

Applicants should be able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English, be based in Klang/Shah Alam/Jenjarom, and be available on weekends. Prior vet assistant experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• SPM or Diploma/Degree graduates.
• Previous experience as a vet assistant is an advantage.
• Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Based in Klang, Shah Alam, Jenjarom.
• Availability to work on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist in holding animals during examination, blood taking, and other procedures.
• Feed and administer medications to warded animals.
• Lift animals, particularly large dogs, when necessary.
• Perform daily cleaning of dog and cat cages.
• Support the veterinarian during pre-surgical and surgical procedures.
• Confidently take dogs for walks as needed.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners.
• Handle front desk duties as required.
• Demonstrate willingness to learn, multitask, and be proactive.
