Job summary

Meridian Surveys (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Vessel Operations Support professional based in Labuan. The role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Maritime Operations and readiness to travel nationwide, with relocation to Labuan as a must.

Fresh graduates are welcome and bilingual proficiency in Malay and English is expected. You will supervise daily vessel activities, monitor system alarms, and provide technical information on vessel tracking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Maritime Operations or Marine equivalent.
• Willing to travel nationwide and stationed in Labuan.
• Willing to relocate (MUST).
• Fresh graduates welcome.
• Malay and English proficiency.
• Good communication, interpersonal skills and diplomacy.
• Able to work in a team and independently when required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day vessel activities and coordinate concurrent operations with L1 support.
• Monitor alarms and software related to vessel activities via the event monitoring system.
• Provide information and consultation on vessel tracking and marine operations system.
• Act as frontline contact via phone, email, and chat for system issues.
• Escalate issues following company guidelines.
• Own incidents and ensure resolution within SLA time frame.
• Prepare reports and analyze data from ticketing system.

Requirements

• 1. Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Maritime Operations or Marine equivalent.
• 2. The candidate must be willing to travel nationwide when required but will be stationed in Labuan.
• 3. Willing to relocate is a MUST.
• 3. Fresh graduates are welcome as well.
• 4. Candidate must be able to converse in Malay and English.
• 5. Possess good communication skills, good interpersonal skills, and diplomacy with other parties involved respectively.
• 7. Must be able to work in a team and independently when required

Responsibilities

• 1. Responsible for supervisory of the day-to-day vessel activities and control of simultaneous operations and L1 experience in providing technical support to end-users, leveraging broad-based expertise to handle problems, diagnosis, and resolution with regards to the system.
• 2. Responsible for monitoring various alarms of software related to the vessel's activities and movements via the event monitoring system
• 3. Provide technical information and consultation to the client on any information required related to vessel tracking and marine operations system.
• 4. Act as the frontline, point of contact with the user over system issues through the phone, email, and chat.
• 5. Escalate issues appropriately using hierarchical and functional escalation guidelines provided by the company.
• 6. Maintain ownership of incidents and ensure that they are resolved within the SLA time frame.
• 7. Reporting and statistical analysis of data mined from the ticket logging and tracking system.
