Job summary

Cochlear Malaysia Sdn Bhd is leading medical device company seeking a Verification and Validation Services Engineer to independently verify and validate products and systems before release. You will design, execute, and improve test methods, analyze results, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with technical, regulatory, and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering with software components.
• 2-4 years of professional engineering experience.
• Understanding V&V principles, methodologies, and testing practices.
• Experience with hardware, software, and electromechanical systems.
• Knowledge of electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, sensors).
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and data interpretation skills.
• Excellent technical documentation and reporting abilities.
• Good English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, execute, and maintain verification and validation activities for hardware, software, and electromechanical systems.
• Create and improve test methods, test cases, protocols, and supporting documentation.
• Conduct manual and automated testing, including protocol dry runs and formal test execution.
• Analyze test results, produce accurate reports, and provide objective evidence of product performance and compliance.
• Troubleshoot and investigate test failures, product issues, equipment problems, and system defects.
• Support root cause analysis and collaborate with cross-functional teams on corrective actions.
• Manage assigned V&V deliverables and ensure tasks are completed according to project timelines.
• Communicate testing progress, risks, and project updates to stakeholders.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of V&V processes, tools, and test automation capabilities.
• Maintain testing equipment, laboratory inventory, and documentation in accordance with QMS requirements.
• Review technical documentation and support knowledge sharing across engineering teams.
• Promote a culture of quality, continuous improvement, safety, and collaboration.
