Job summary

Cochlear Malaysia is seeking a Senior Lead Embedded Software Integration & Verification Engineer to ensure the quality, safety, and regulatory compliance of embedded software platforms. You will lead software integration, verification, issue investigations, and release readiness while mentoring team members.

The role emphasizes driving testing excellence, automation, and adoption of modern testing methods and tools to support reliable medical device software delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of embedded software integration and verification experience in regulated industries.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C, C++, or C#.
• Experience with embedded software testing (unit, integration, regression, smoke, stress, system-level).
• Experience with CI/CD practices and related tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of medical device regulatory requirements is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Governance and compliance: define ES I&V governance across products and locations, ensure traceability between requirements, tests, and verification reports.
• Integration and verification: plan component integration, support CI and configuration, verify builds and resolve issues, deliver stable releases.
• Planning and stakeholder coordination: align ES I&V activities with product roadmaps and development plans.
• Process, infrastructure, and tool improvement: define future ES I&V capabilities, drive automation and best practices.
• Technical leadership: develop training materials, coach engineers, and serve as a technical contact for verification challenges.
