Job summary

Coherent Malaysia is seeking a Vendor Master Data Specialist to maintain and update vendor records and ensure data accuracy across systems. The role involves validating onboarding documents and liaising with procurement, AP, legal, and tax to resolve issues while upholding policy standards.

You will support internal and external audits related to vendor data and maintain SOPs for vendor master processes, contributing to compliance and operational integrity in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in accounting with 2-3 years experience in vendor master maintenance.
• Able to work under minimum supervision and meet deadlines.
• Good in English speaking and writing.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Understanding of compliance and audit requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update vendor master data.
• Ensure vendor data consistency across systems and modules.
• Review and validate vendor onboarding documents, such as business registration / certificates, bank confirmation letters or voided checks; perform validation before setup per policy.
• Liaise with procurement, AP, legal, tax, and business requesters.
• Communicate issues, rejections, or missing documents clearly and professionally.
• Support audit requests (internal and external) related to vendor master data.
• Maintain vendors master SOPs and control documentation.
