Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking a seasoned VDI Systems Integration Advisor to design, implement, and support robust virtual desktop and app delivery solutions for large enterprise environments. You will manage complex configurations, collaborate with clients and teams, and drive best practices across ITIL-aligned processes.

You should bring extensive experience with Horizon, Citrix, VMware, and Azure Virtual Desktop, plus strong networking and directory services skills to ensure stable, scalable platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT infrastructure implementation experience.
• 5+ years of engineering/support related to VMware, Citrix, MS technologies.
• 3+ years of Azure Virtual Desktop experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Networking, Active Directory and profile management.

Responsibilities

• Handle escalated incidents and provide on-call support.
• Respond to critical monitoring alerts and outages.
• Lead complex VDI/App Delivery projects and configurations.

Job Summary

The VDI Systems Integration Advisor is a seasoned professional with a proven track record of relying on their innovation, creativity, technical prowess and leadership skills to deliver robust, efficient and stable solutions to their clients.

The Advisor is a resource who has demonstrable experience supporting and managing large enterprise environments. Applicants should be highly motivated, technology driven, possess strong communications skills, can develop strong cross-group collaboration and are willing to take on the challenge of dealing with ambiguity. Candidates should also have a broad understanding of both server and desktop / application virtualization.

Responsibilities

• Support on all escalated incidents from lower levels of support.
• Tasks and alert management. Respond to critical monitoring alerts including server alerts and system outages.
• Assess and implement complex VDI / App Delivery Virtualization projects using various technologies
• Support complex system configurations and standards for Citrix, VMware and MS Hyper-V platforms
• Supports his/her team when technical issues rise in his/her scope of expertise.
• Develop repeatable standards and implementation processes to ensure product uniformity and quality
• Directly interact with clients, account managers, and peers in support of complex VDI/ App Delivery environments
• Apply best practices, strategies, methodologies, and approaches to large scale projects
• Create and maintain support documentation, work instructions and knowledge base articles
• Is aware of the organizational and account structure so that he/she anticipates interrelationships within the organization.
• Is available and able to drive high severity incidents that occur within the scope of their role
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation
• Adhere to the Change Management and other ITIL processes.
• Accurate ticket documentation of the support request and troubleshooting steps taken

Required Skills

• 5+ years of IT infrastructure technical implementation experience required
• 5+ years of engineering and/or support experience related to x86 technical offerings such as VMware, Microsoft, and Citrix.
• Advanced and proven track record of engineering and supporting highly available Omnissa Horizon environments (Omnissa Certified Administrator – Horizon (OCA-H)).
• 3+ years of experience with Azure Virtual Desktop.
• Basic knowledge of storage subsystems.
• Server hardware fundamentals
• Basic technical knowledge on on-premise hypervisors (vSphere, XenServer, Microsoft Hyper-V) and SQL(VCA VMware Certified Associate highly preferred).
• Extensive skills with Windows Networking, Active Directory, and profile management.
• Thorough understanding of enterprise datacenter technologies including Networking, Security, TCP/IP, SAN and NAS, physical datacenter practices
• Demonstrated ability to assess, implement and troubleshoot IT Infrastructure systems and configurations in the designated practice using procedures, scripts, and templates.
• Demonstrated engineering expertise (gather requirements, problem solve and recommend) in mid-sized customer environments
• Demonstrated ability to achieve a high level of Customer Satisfaction on all engineering engagements
• Respect deadlines and procedures agreed at team level or with the customer
• Ability to listen, learn and improve
• Excellent English skills, both written and verbal
• Nice to have: Windows 365, AWS Workspaces
