Job summary

Maverick Schools is seeking passionate ESL educators to join our growing academic team for the September Intake Academic Year 2026/2027.

Plan and deliver effective ESL lessons for KS3 and KS4, assess student work, and maintain accurate records. Collaborate with HODs to support curriculum development and participate in school duties and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education related fields; TESL or English Language background.
• Minimum 2 years teaching experience, preferably ESL or international/private settings.
• Strong subject knowledge and teaching competency in ESL and English.
• Willingness to collaborate with HODs and educators to support curriculum development.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver ESL lessons for KS3 and KS4 with engaging, structured activities.
• Assess student work and provide timely feedback while keeping academic records.
• Monitor progress and implement strategies to support improvement.
• Undertake homeroom duties including attendance, welfare, and pastoral care.
• Maintain positive classroom management per school policies.

Maverick Schools is looking for passionate and dedicated ESL educators to join our growing academic team for the September Intake Academic Year 2026/2027 .

Key responsibilities:

Plan and deliver effective ESL lessons for KS3 (Year 7-9) & KS4 (Year 10-11) students, ensuring teaching and learning activities are engaging, structured, and aligned with curriculum requirements.

Assess student work, provide constructive and timely feedback, and maintain accurate academic records within the school's systems.

Monitor student progress and implement strategies to support academic improvement and achievement.

Undertake homeroom teacher responsibilities, including monitoring attendance, student welfare, and pastoral care.

Maintain positive classroom management and discipline in accordance with school policies and procedures.

Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding students' academic progress, behaviour, and well‑being.

Collaborate with Heads of Department (HODs) and fellow educators to support curriculum development and student success initiatives.

Participate in school duty rosters, including supervision during assemblies, break times, arrival, and dismissal.

Plan, organize, and support school events, educational activities, competitions, and co‑curricular programmes as assigned.

Contribute actively to the wider school community and uphold the school's values and professional standards.

Requirements:

Can join us immediately is preferrable.

Bachelor's Degree in Education, TESL, English Language, Linguistics, or a related field.

Master's Degree will be an added advantage.

Minimum 2 years of relevant teaching experience, preferably in ESL, English Language, or an international/private school setting.

Strong subject knowledge and demonstrated teaching competency in ESL and English Language instruction.
