The role requires hands-on mechanical expertise, experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems, and the ability to work with production teams to ensure peak performance and high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Machinery Technician or in a similar technical maintenance role.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machinery operations, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
• Competency in diagnosing and repairing machinery faults using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and preventative servicing on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and technical faults in machinery, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions
• Carry out repairs and replacements of faulty components, parts, and systems in a timely and professional manner
• Inspect machinery and equipment regularly to identify potential issues before they become critical problems
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance, repairs, and servicing work performed on machinery
• Collaborate with production teams to minimise machinery downtime and maximise operational efficiency
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations
• Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as required
• Operate and test machinery to verify repairs have been completed successfully
• Keep work areas clean and organised, maintaining high standards of housekeeping and safety
