Job summary

Socomy Sdn. Bhd is seeking a Service Technician/Engineer at the Penang branch to perform maintenance, start-up, testing and troubleshooting of UPS systems for mission critical facilities.

The role requires engaging with customer sites, maintaining service quality, and delivering 24x7 support. Candidates should have an Electrical & Electronic Engineering background (degree/diploma) or equivalent with field experience, and be willing to work long or irregular hours with own transport.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering with PCB repair and troubleshooting experience.
• Knowledge of power electronics and UPS systems.
• Report writing skills and computer literacy.
• Self-starter with customer service orientation.
• Independent, willing to work long and odd hours, able to think analytically.
• Own transport.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance, start-up, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of UPS systems.
• Establish and maintain quality service standards and procedures.
• Carry out audits in customer's data centre facilities.
• Provide quality 24 x 7 service to Mission Critical facilities.
