Job summary

Jetech Southeast Asia in Malaysia seeks a skilled Data Center Technician to maintain and repair electrical and mechanical equipment, including generators, UPS, PDU, switchgear, and monitoring systems.

You will standardize operations, prepare daily maintenance reports, and manage local projects across Malaysia, requiring hands-on experience with backup power supplies and strong client coordination in English and Malay.

Qualifications

• College degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related fields.
• Certificates such as Chargeman or Wireman required.
• Experience in maintenance and repair of electrical/mechanical equipment.
• Familiar with construction management of electrical systems.
• English and Malay language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Operate, repair and maintain data center equipment including power distribution room, generators, UPS, cabinets, circuit breakers, power lines, lighting and safety systems.
• Prepare daily maintenance reports.
• Standardize work processes and implement standardized operations in the datacenter.
• Manage daily local projects in Malaysia.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

1. Responsible for technical tasks related to the operation, repair, and maintenance of data center, including but not limited to the power distribution room, generator sets, UPS, power distribution control cabinets, circuit breakers, power distribution lines from the power distribution room to equipment in the server room, lighting and emergency lighting systems, and other circuit breakers involved in power limitation or safety protection.
2. Prepare daily maintenance reports.
3. Standardize work processes and implement standardized operations in the datacenter.
4. Responsible for the daily management of local projects in Malaysia

Job Requirements

1. College degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related fields. Relevant certificates (Chargeman or Wireman) are required.
2. Professional knowledge in mechanical and electrical equipment maintenance and repair.
3. Familiar with construction management of electrical engineering systems.
4. Language proficiency: English, Melayu
5. Strong communication and coordination skills with clients, good temper, and strong sense of responsibility.
6. Candidates must have work experience related to backup power supplies.
