Job summary

FWD Group seeks a Manager, Underwriting in Kuala Lumpur to lead the New Business and Underwriting delivery plan for MHIT initiatives. You will define requirements, validate underwriting rules and medical evidence rules, and ensure SOPs are current while coordinating with Technology, Business Analysts, Product and vendors.

You will lead testing, go-live readiness and post-launch stabilisation, build team capability, and govern risk and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience in insurance or finance field.
• Strong knowledge of medical underwriting rules and evidence requirements.
• Experience delivering insurance transformation and go-live support is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the New Business and Underwriting delivery plan with milestones and risk tracking.
• Define underwriting requirements, medical evidence rules, and SOPs.
• Coordinate with Technology, Business Analysts, Product, vendors and stakeholders.
• Lead testing, including planning, scenarios, defect triage and user acceptance.
• Oversee go-live readiness, post-launch stabilisation and ongoing operations.
