Job summary

A leading banking institution in Malaysia is seeking a talented UI/UX Designer to lead innovative design projects. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience, proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, and a solid understanding of user-centered design principles. Job description
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the UIUX workstream and assigned module.
  • Provide business requirements and designs align with UI/UX style guides and framework according to the Banking standard.
  • Work within the multiple squads to design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, mock-ups and prototypes optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
  • Key contributors in ensuring design fit for targeted user personas.
  • Bring user-centered design (UCD) process methods to digital solutions from concept to launch.
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Business and Technology to derive UI/UX solutions.
  • Clearly articulate and defend your design decisions in front of vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Presents design concepts at stakeholder review meetings and engage relevant meetings/sprints in order to come up with a better design.
  • Implement design patterns, style guides and accessiblity guidelines, while contributing to their continuous improvement.
  • Develop creative contents and translate communication into visual design for print and digital media. This includes logo, videos, brochures, website, social media graphic and more.
  • Conduct user surveys and usability testing to understand user needs and behaviours.
  • Analyse competitor products and identifying best practices and area for improvement

Technical/Functional skills
  • Acquire skillset and good graps of both UX and UI concepts
  • Familiar with the use of Figma. This is mandatory
  • Basic command of web technologies including HTML templates, CSS and JavaScript is mandatory
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is essential. Additional skills in video editing software (After Effects, Premiere Pro) are beneficial
  • Develop clear and effective user interfaces to achieve both product and business goals
  • Maintain and define the visual and UX patterns for our products to cultivate a consistent and intuitive experience
  • Strong ability to graps the product vision, product goals and communicate them clearly and regularly to the team
  • Solid design philosophy, deep understanding in user experience design as well as understanding of design principles, typography, color theory and layout techniques
  • Able to lead demo sessions that show case product mockup/prototype
  • Experience working within cross-functional teams and using lean/agile design practices.
  • Caretake of project Brand's Guidelines and Design Assets
  • Knowledge of current designs trends and best practices across digital and print media
  • Strong follow up on all feedback and incorporate into design iterations
