Job summary

YepAI is seeking a product designer to set the visual language for our chat widget, merchant dashboard, and onboarding flows. You’ll own end-to-end UI design from wireframes to dev-ready specs and build a scalable design system as we grow.

Work with product and engineering in rapid weekly cycles, delivering responsive experiences across web and mobile. You’ll ensure consistency while collaborating across Mandarin and English interfaces, in a fully distributed team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of UI design experience for SaaS, web apps or e-commerce products.
• Experience building or owning a design system, not just working inside someone else's.
• Proficient in Figma with auto-layout and components.
• Strong fundamentals: typography, layout, spacing, visual hierarchy.
• Professional written and spoken Mandarin and English to switch between teams.
• Proven ability to work remotely with clear written communication in async environments.
• Comfortable in a startup environment with ambiguity and rapid iterations.

Job description

You'll be our first dedicated product designer, which means you set the visual language for everything we ship from here, the chat widget merchants' customers actually talk to, the dashboard merchants work in every day, and the onboarding that decides whether they stick around. You'll build the design system that keeps it all consistent as we add more agents, and you'll see your work in production within weeks, not quarters.

Own end-to-end UI design for our chat widget, merchant dashboard and onboarding flows, from wireframe to polished, dev-ready specs

Build and maintain our design system (components, tokens, patterns) so the product stays consistent as we ship new agents

Work directly with product and engineering in fast weekly cycles

Hand off in Figma and stay involved through UI QA

Design responsive experiences across web and mobile

About you

4+ years of UI design experience for SaaS, web apps or e-commerce products (portfolio required - we'll want to walk through it with you)

You've built or substantially owned a design system, not just worked inside someone else's

Strong command of Figma: auto-layout, components, design systems

Solid fundamentals: typography, layout, spacing, visual hierarchy

Professional written and spoken Mandarin and English, our product and engineering team works in Mandarin day to day, while everything merchant-facing ships in English, so you'll be moving between the two constantly

Proven ability to work remotely: self-directed, clear written communication, reliable async updates in Slack/Notion

Comfortable in a startup environment; Ambiguity, quick iterations, direct feedback
