TVC TRANSPORT & SUPPLY CHAIN (M) SDN. BHD. is seeking a Transport Planner in Shah Alam to coordinate daily transportation operations across Malaysia.
You will receive shipment requirements from Customer Service, plan truck needs, book subcontractors, prepare daily schedules, and track movements to meet delivery deadlines.
Good Excel skills and clear communication in English are required; Malay, Thai or Mandarin would be an advantage.
The Transport Planner is responsible for planning and coordinating daily transportation operations in Malaysia. The role works closely with the Customer Service team, subcontractors, truck drivers, warehouses/hubs, and internal operations staff to ensure trucks are available, properly scheduled, dispatched on time, and shipments are delivered according to schedule.
Key responsibilities
Receive shipment requirements and truck requests from the Customer Service team.
Plan daily truck requirements based on shipment volume and delivery schedules.
Book trucks with subcontractors and confirm truck availability.
Prepare daily truck schedules and assign trucks according to operational requirements.
Coordinate truck arrival, loading, transloading, departure, and delivery schedules.
Arrange replacement trucks when scheduled trucks are unavailable.
Monitor truck movements and adjust schedules when operational issues occur.
Release trucks and coordinate truck dispatch from the hub.
Ensure trucks depart according to the planned schedule.
Monitor and coordinate the transloading process.
About you
Experience in logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, or operations is preferred but not essential.
Strong coordination and organizational skills.
Comfortable communicating with truck drivers and subcontractors.
Comfortable working with schedules, documents, and basic calculations.
Good Excel or spreadsheet skills.
Able to work under pressure and solve operational problems quickly.
Good English communication skills; Malay, Thai, or Mandarin would be an advantage.
Willing to work flexible hours when required to support transportation operations.
