Job summary

Timesfly International (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a competent on-site interpreter to facilitate daily communication among foreign engineers and local staff in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Melayu.

The role also involves translating project-related documents such as construction plans, safety notices, and meeting minutes. You will assist the project manager in monitoring progress, organizing meetings, preparing reports, and coordinating documentation with contractors and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor s Degree holder with 2 years of relevant working experience.
• Proficient in written and spoken Chinese, English, and Bahasa Melayu.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Strong sense of responsibility, proactive work attitude, and ability to adapt to a construction site environment.
• Basic knowledge of construction, engineering, M&E, or project management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trilingual interpreter on-site to facilitate daily communication between foreign engineers and local staff (Mandarin-English-Bahasa Melayu).
• Translate project-related documents, including construction plans, safety notices, meeting minutes, and technical reports.
• Assist the project manager in monitoring project progress, organizing meetings, preparing reports, and managing documentation.
• Coordinate communication between contractors, suppliers, and relevant departments to ensure smooth project execution.
• Support general administrative and logistical tasks, such as accommodation arrangements, transportation coordination, and document organization.
• Assist with company events, meetings, training sessions, and other administrative activities.
• Perform other duties and ad-hoc tasks assigned by management from time to time.
