Job summary

Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a finance professional to prepare monthly financial reports, perform account reconciliations, and manage accounts payable and closing activities. You will work with invoices, GLs, cost centers and approvals while coordinating timely payments to vendors and staff.

The role requires strong Excel skills, exposure to taxation and fixed assets, and the ability to meet tight reporting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related discipline.
• ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent would be advantageous.
• At least three years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
• Experience in accounts payable, reconciliations, financial reporting and month-end closing.
• Knowledge of taxation, forex exposure, hedging and fixed assets would be advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics would be advantageous.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to meet strict reporting and payment deadlines.
• Familiarity with AI-driven financial reporting and BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial reports and account reconciliations.
• Review invoices, supporting documents, GL accounts, cost centers and approvals.
• Coordinate weekly payments to vendors and employees.
• Monitor accounts payable ageing and resolve long-outstanding items.
• Support month-end closing, journal entries and balance-sheet reconciliation.
• Maintain forex exposure records and assist with foreign currency and hedging activities.
• Manage fixed-asset registration, depreciation, movement and annual asset verification.
• Prepare Withholding Tax, Imported Service Tax and other statutory payments.
• Ensure compliance with MMM’s policies, SOPs and DOA/LOA requirements.
• Liaise with internal departments, vendors, banks, related companies and regulatory authorities.
