Job Title: Transition Manager

Reporting To: Manager Sr., AG Strategic Sourcing

Work Schedule: Fully Remote or Hybrid if Local – Petaling Jaya, MY

Principal Accountabilities or Key Results of the Job
  1. Work closely with Site Leadership team to support transition activities, address systemic issues impacting transitions, and define governance for successful work transfers.
  2. Create transition plans using standard tools and guided by existing processes, BMDLs, and Standard Work.
  3. Monitor project milestones, identify risks, and define mitigation actions for successful transition execution.
  4. Communicate upcoming transition strategies driven by the Commercial Aircraft Group to Site Leadership.
  5. Collaborate with other Groups, Sites, Supply Chain, and Engineering to develop and execute transition initiatives.
  6. Define and report metrics to monitor and communicate transition effectiveness and timeliness.
  7. Establish processes to alert management of risks affecting planned transitions.
  8. Exercise decision-making authority and influence to minimize schedule slips.
  9. Chair project coordination meetings across sites and business groups, and facilitate resolution of project challenges.
  10. Recognize significant problems and escalate issues beyond normal resolution to mitigate risks.
  11. Manage performance and career growth of Project Transition Leaders.
  12. Align with Site and Group strategies, including cost targets.
Qualifications Desirable at Job Entry
  1. BS degree in Engineering or related field.
  2. Experience in managing work transfer initiatives, complex projects, and using project management tools.
  3. 5+ years in Project Management, Program Management, Materials, Supply Chain, Engineering, Methods, or Manufacturing/Operations.
  4. Strong leadership, facilitation, emotional intelligence, and team collaboration skills.
  5. Deep understanding of continuous improvement principles.
