Job summary

Euroclear in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Operations Specialist to support transfer instructions, monitor pending and rejected transfers, and ensure timely settlements.

You will liaise with transfer agents, fund managers, and internal teams to resolve queries, dispatch documentation, and follow SOPs. The role requires strong English, good organizational skills, and attention to detail. Working hours are 3:00pm–12:00am or 4:00pm–1:00am Malaysia time, on-site in Kuala Lumpur.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of industry experience in financial services operations.
• Proficient in English with strong written and verbal communication skills; additional languages preferred.
• Well-developed organizational and critical thinking skills to resolve day-to-day issues.
• Strong interpersonal and networking abilities with sub-custodians and internal/external departments.
• Knowledge of mutual funds and hedge funds is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Receive, validate, and release transfer instructions via GFX.
• Monitor pending and rejected transfers; ensure prompt resolution and settlement.
• Liaise with Transfer Agents, Fund Management Companies, and internal stakeholders to resolve queries and expedite settlements.
• Ensure accurate and timely dispatch of transfer documentation to Transfer Agents.
• Follow up on contract notes and adhere to SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Investigate and resolve complex cases, including rejected or technically failed transfers.
• Escalate critical issues and contribute to the daily Critical Transfers report.
• Identify inefficiencies and propose process improvements to enhance settlement timeliness and service quality.
• Participate in monthly reviews of client queries and agent performance.
