Job summary

Frencken Mechatronics Malaysia is seeking an Engineering Intern to support the CEM Engineering team in daily manufacturing activities and documentation. This role offers hands-on exposure to electronic manufacturing operations and opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement projects.

You will assist in process monitoring, data collection, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and efficiency in production environments.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Diploma or bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

Assist engineers in daily production and engineering activities.
Support process improvement and CI projects to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.
Prepare and update engineering documents, including SOPs and process flow charts.
Assist in collecting, compiling, and analysing production data for reports.
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues.
Support NPI, engineering trials, and product validation activities where applicable.
Coordinate with Production, Quality, Manufacturing and other departments on engineering tasks.

The Engineering Intern will support the CEM Engineering team in daily engineering activities related to manufacturing processes, production support, continuous improvement initiatives, and engineering documentation. This internship provides hands-on exposure to electronic manufacturing operations while allowing students to apply their academic knowledge in a real manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Assist engineers in daily production and engineering activities.
Support process improvement and continuous improvement (CI) projects to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.
Prepare and update engineering documents, including work instructions, process flow charts, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Assist in collecting, compiling, and analyzing production and process data for reporting purposes.
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities for production issues.
Support new product introduction (NPI), engineering trials, and product validation activities where applicable.
Assist in process monitoring and verification to ensure compliance with quality and manufacturing standards.
Coordinate with Production, Quality, Manufacturing, and other supporting departments on engineering-related tasks.
Assist in maintaining engineering records, reports, and technical documentation.
Participate in engineering meetings and contribute ideas for continuous improvement initiatives.
Comply with all company policies, safety regulations, and 5S workplace practices.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Engineering Supervisor or Manager.
