Job summary

OneJar seeks a Trading System Infrastructure Engineer (L2 Support) to maintain, monitor, and support our trading platform environment, with a primary focus on MT5 and Trade Evolution. The role requires strong hands‑on expertise across Linux and Windows server environments to resolve complex platform, connectivity, and performance issues in a high‑availability, real‑time trading setting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience supporting trading platforms, preferably MT5 and/or Trade Evolution.
• Strong administration skills in Linux and Windows Server environments.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, latency troubleshooting).
• Experience with monitoring tools and incident management processes.
• Ability to perform root‑cause analysis and work under pressure in a real‑time environment.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2 support for trading system infrastructure, including MT5 and Trade Evolution platforms.
• Monitor trading servers, services, and connectivity to ensure maximum uptime and optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform, network, and application-level incidents escalated from L1 support.
• Perform root‑cause analysis on recurring issues and implement preventative measures.
• Administer and maintain Linux and Windows server environments supporting trading operations.
• Manage trading platform configurations, server-side settings, plugins, bridges, and integrations with Trading SysOps.
• Coordinate with platform vendors and internal teams for issue resolution and updates.
• Support deployment, patching, and maintenance activities, including scheduled and emergency changes.
• Document incidents, resolutions, and operational procedures.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and provide support during market hours and high‑volatility events

We are seeking a Trading System Infrastructure Engineer (L2 Support) to maintain, monitor, and support our trading platform environment, with a primary focus on MetaTrader 5 (MT5) and Trade Evolution. The role requires strong hands‑on expertise across Linux and Windows server environments and the ability to resolve complex platform, connectivity, and performance issues in a high‑availability, real‑time trading setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2 support for trading system infrastructure, including MT5 and Trade Evolution platforms.
• Monitor trading servers, services, and connectivity to ensure maximum uptime and optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform, network, and application-level incidents escalated from L1 support.
• Perform root‑cause analysis on recurring issues and implement preventative measures.
• Administer and maintain Linux and Windows server environments supporting trading operations.
• Manage trading platform configurations, server-side settings, plugins, bridges, and integrations in coordination with the Trading SysOps function to ensure stable, secure, and performant trading operations.
• Coordinate with platform vendors (e.g., MetaQuotes, T4B) and internal teams for issue resolution and updates.
• Support deployment, patching, and maintenance activities, including scheduled and emergency changes.
• Document incidents, resolutions, and operational procedures.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and provide support during critical trading hours and market events

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience supporting trading platforms, preferably MT5 and/or Trade Evolution.
• Strong administration skills in both Linux and Windows Server environments.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, latency troubleshooting).
• Experience with monitoring tools and incident management processes.
• Ability to perform root‑cause analysis and work under pressure in a real‑time environment.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• MT5 Administrator certification (MetaQuotes) is a strong plus.
• Windows and Linux certifications preferred.
• Experience in a brokerage, fintech, or financial trading environment.
• Familiarity with trading server plugins, bridges, and liquidity connectivity.
• Knowledge of scripting (Bash, PowerShell) for automation and monitoring.
• Exposure to virtualization, cloud platforms, and database management.

Work Conditions

May require shift-based coverage, on‑call availability, and support during market hours and high‑volatility events.
