Job summary

Spruson & Ferguson Asia in Malaysia is seeking a Trademark Associate to support international trademark matters and jurisdictional strategies across Asia. You will advise on protection, prosecution, and oppositions, with a focus on high-quality writing and problem solving.

You will manage filing strategies, coordinate deadlines, and respond to examination reports while working closely with multi-market teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law or equivalent qualification.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in a similar trademark role preferred.
• Able to handle high volumes of workload with good time management.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency in Mandarin would be highly advantageous.

About Your Role

As our Trademark Associate in our Malaysia office, you will primarily support trademark matters across international markets and various jurisdictions, advising on trademark protection strategies, trademark prosecution matters, including oppositions and other contentious matters within the Asia jurisdiction. Problem-solving and strong writing skills are a must.
