Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan Minde Group Sdn Bhd is seeking a Tooling Manager (Design) based in Johor Bahru. You will lead tooling design, development and maintenance for manufacturing processes, ensuring cost efficiency and high quality.

You will manage a team of tooling engineers and coordinate with production, engineering and QA to meet schedules. The role requires 5–7 years in tooling management, strong CAD skills, and experience with budgeting, supplier management, and ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent field.
• 5–7 years of tooling management experience in manufacturing or injection molding.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage teams.
• Strong tooling design, production, and maintenance knowledge.
• Proficient in CAD and other design tools, with good problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage tooling design, development and improvement across processes.
• Oversee prototyping and production tooling for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Manage preventive maintenance and repair of tooling and equipment.
• Lead tooling teams and coordinate with production, engineering and QA.
• Develop and manage tooling budgets and negotiate supplier terms.
• Source and manage external tooling suppliers and contracts.
• Ensure tooling meets quality, safety and ISO standards; drive continuous improvement.
• Manage tooling-related projects to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Promote safe work practices and regulatory compliance in tooling operations.
