Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tooling Design, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in plastic injection molding tooling design.
• Proficient in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of plastic injection molds to produce high-quality parts.
• Create detailed 3D models and drawings of molds using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize mold designs for manufacturability and efficiency.
• Review and improve existing mold designs to reduce defects and enhance quality.
• Conduct mold flow analysis and simulations to predict molding behavior.
• Work with resin suppliers to select appropriate tooling materials.
• Oversee mold fabrication, assembly and testing, ensuring quality and safety.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers in tooling.
