Job summary

XP Power is seeking a Test Technician to diagnose, rework, and verify PSU sub-components and final electronic products of moderate to high complexity. The role requires working from schematics, collecting failure data, and collaborating with Test engineers to implement corrective actions.

You'll prepare detailed test reports, support test stations, and contribute to process improvements while maintaining reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• Tertiary education in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience as a test technician in a similar electronics company.
• Electronics test, troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Experience testing and diagnosing electronic products, power supplies and related products.
• Ability to work from electrical schematics, change notices, and use standard electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Good communication skills with proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Knowledgeable on Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with SAP systems.

Responsibilities

• Test, diagnose, rework, and verify PSU sub-components and final electronic products of moderate to high complexity as prescribed by drawings, electrical schematics, and procedures.
• Record failure data and test issues in databases; work with Test engineers to document product repair changes; evaluate results and propose corrective action.
• Suggest design, update, and efficiency improvements to test setup; support the assembly and setup of test stations for unit testing.
• Prepare detailed reports and test procedures documenting results, methods, and equipment used in product evaluation.
• Maintain strong communication with peers, across shifts, and with support organizations.
• Engage in process improvement teams and activities.
• Maintain reliable and consistent attendance.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities :-

• Test, diagnose, rework, and verify PSU sub-component and final electronic products of moderate to high complexity as prescribed by drawings, electrical schematics, and/or procedures.
• Strong ability to Test and diagnose units with minimal direction.
• Record failure data and test issues in databases as required. Work with Test engineers to document product repair changes. Evaluate results and recommend corrective action when required.
• Recommend design, update, and efficiency improvements to test setup. Support the assembly and setup of test stations to use during unit testing.
• Prepare detailed reports and test procedures documenting the results, methods and equipment used in product evaluation.
• Strong communication skills with peers, across shifts, and with support organizations.

Qualifications

• Tertiary education in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
• Minumum 2 to 3 years of experience as a test technician in a similar Electronics company.
• Electronics test, troubleshooting, and repair experience
• Experience testing and diagnosing electronic products, power supplies and related products.
• Ability to work from electrical schematics, change notices, and use standard electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to make common mechanical connections associated with power supply testing
• Good communication skills with profiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Knowledgeable on Windows applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with SAP systems
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
