Job summary

Coherent Corp. in Malaysia is seeking a part-time tester maintenance support role focused on keeping tester equipment operational and compliant with safety standards.

You will assist in DV activities, optimize test setups, and collaborate on efficiency improvements across products, while adhering to ISO and housekeeping guidelines. The role requires a Diploma in Electrical/Electronics or Computer Engineering, with about 1 year in equipment maintenance or testing.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronics, Computer Engineering or relevant.
• 1 year of Equipment Maintenance/Testing experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn and operate in a test environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure tester operation minimizes test equipment down time.
• Responsible for periodic DV of tester.
• Improve test setup ergonomics and efficiency via elimination, simplification, integration and automation.
• Support test yield and testability enhancements for all products.
• Ensure compliance to Safety, ESD, Cleanroom and Housekeeping guidelines.
• SPC monitoring of tester performance.
• Practice Risk Based Thinking in planning and execution.
• Authorized to stop any tester if quality or safety issues arise.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.
• Derive Continual Improvement and think ahead in planning and execution.
• Adhere to ISO requirements and company rules.

• Support test yield and testability enhancement project for all products. Elimination, minimizing over rejection on tester, improve performance of tester, etc.

• Ensure compliance to Safety, ESD, Cleanroom and Housekeeping guidelines.

• SPC monitoring of tester performance.

• Practice Risk Base Thinking in planning and execution of task.

• Authorized to stop any tester if the tester facing quality or safety issue.

• Performing any other duties as directed by the immediate superior from time to time.

Authorities:

Job Requirements

Education: Diploma of in Electrical/Electronics, Computer Engineering or relevant.

Experience: At least 1 year of Equipment Maintenance/Testing experience. Candidates without appropriate experience may be accepted by the hiring manager subject to job nature, availability of buddy, duration of learning, etc.

Special Skills:

• With good computer literacy, good communication skill.
• Experience in testers or equipment configuring and troubleshooting.
• Experience in tester debug or verification.
