Job summary

Hi-P International in Malaysia is seeking a test engineer to design and implement automated and manual testing procedures for electrical components and systems, and to develop test plans and validation protocols for new and existing products. You will collaborate with R&D, Design and Production to ensure testability of new designs and lead improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in operation and maintenance of vision based SMT Equipment
• Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Computer Engineering or related discipline
• Mandarin proficiency is required for communication with counterparts and customers

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated and manual testing procedures for electrical components and systems.
• Develop test plans, test cases, and validation protocols for new and existing products.
• Collaborate with R&D, Design, and Production teams to ensure testability of new designs.
• Conduct root cause analysis on test failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives in test processes, equipment, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., IEC, UL, ISO, RoHS).
• Oversee the calibration and maintenance of test equipment and instruments.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians.
• Generate detailed test reports and communicate results to stakeholders.
