Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Senior Test Development Engineer to design, build, and deploy automated functional test solutions across manufacturing. You will lead technical execution, integrate hardware and software, and mentor junior engineers on best practices.

In this role you will optimize test systems for quality and speed, drive DOEs, collaborate with design and firmware teams on DFT, and manage test components and documentation to sustain high-yield production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5–8+ years in functional test development or automated test systems.
• Proficiency in C++, LabVIEW, and TestStand; NI STS experience is a plus.
• Experience in circuit design for testers and data acquisition.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy automated test systems using C++, LabVIEW, TestStand, and custom hardware (power distribution, relay logic, DAQ, NI STS).
• Lead mid-sized test projects, set timelines, build BOMs, estimate labor, and mentor junior engineers on BKMs and coding standards.
• Qualify test solutions using statistical methods (GR&R, Cp/Cpk), optimize cycle times, and drive yield improvements on the factory floor.
• Debug HW/SW issues using DOE and root-cause analysis; partner with design, layout, and firmware teams to enforce DFT standards.
• Procure test components and manage technical documentation (schematics, version control, ECOs).
• Technical project leadership, root-cause troubleshooting, and strong stakeholder communication.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Experience: 5–8+ years in functional test development or automated test systems.
• Software: Strong proficiency in C++, LabVIEW, and TestStand (NI STS experience is a plus).
• Hardware & Specs: Proven expertise in circuit design for testers, industrial instrumentation, measurement science, and data acquisition.
