Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Test Development Engineer to design and implement functional test solutions for hardware and software. The role covers test specification analysis, fixture design, software development, and collaboration with mechanical vendors, with emphasis on reliability and safety.

You will work onsite in Bayan Lepas, Penang, bring strong LabVIEW and Test Stand skills, and communicate in Chinese, English and Bahasa Malaysia for international collaborations.

Qualifications

• BS degrees in Electrical Engineering or related fields with 2-5 years working experience.
• Know how on LabVIEW and Test Stand.
• Strong familiarity in test methodologies.
• Strong hardware knowledge & experience in drawing schematics, selecting instruments to perform test.
• Preferred skills in testing instruments: Bench DMM, Oscilloscope, Power Supply, Waveform Generator, Frequency Counter, Electronic Load and DAQ.
• Possess knowledge in other programming language, primarily in controlling and automating instruments is as added advantage.
• Ability to communicate in Chinese, English and Bahasa Malaysia for international collaborations.
• Willing to work onsite in Bayan Lepas, Penang.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement functional test solutions that satisfy the customer's product requirement.

Development activities include test specification analysis, defining test specification, test system/fixture hardware design, software development, and mechanical design (by engaging with mechanical vendors).

Implementation activities include system integration, software coding and debugging, test system build support, installation, user training, and start-up support.

Test performance characterization includes test coverage, programming/calibration functions, automation, repeatability, reliability, safety, ergonomics, and supportability.

Requirements:

BS degrees in Electrical Engineering or related fields with 2-5 years working experience.
