Job summary

Nestlé Manufacturing Sdn Bhd is seeking a Temporary MRP Planner to ensure stock availability at the right location and to release forecast to supply planning efficiently. Based at Batu Tiga Factory, Shah Alam, this temporary full-time role supports demand planning and inventory management to meet customer needs.

The position requires 2+ years in similar roles, experience in demand/supply planning, and a background in LEAN methods. Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two or four years of relevant operational experience at market/business level.
• Experience in Demand & Supply Planning.
• LEAN experience desirable.

• Consistently achieve sustainable Demand Plan Accuracy (DPA) improvement.
• Implement improvements to Demand and Supply Planning processes and tools to deliver tangible benefits.
• Capture, prioritize, analyze and input Generating Demand events and market trends.
• Communicate relevant information to Senior Management in accordance with the Consensus Demand Planning process.
• Drive fast, appropriate actions to minimize deviations from the Demand Plan.

A day in the life of...

• Consistently achieve sustainable Demand Plan Accuracy (DPA) improvement.


• Implement improvements to Demand and Supply Planning processes and tools to deliver tangible benefits (e.g.: time savings, increased efficiencies etc).


• Capture, prioritize, analyze and input Generating Demand events; customer, consumer & competitor information; other external / internal trends and influences, which impact demand plan.


• Communicate relevant information to Senior Management in accordance with the Consensus Demand Planning process;


• Drive fast, appropriate actions to minimize the impact of deviations from the Demand Plan and communicate these actions to stakeholders.


• Effectively use all Demand Planning system functionality to enable an exception based management approach.


• Consistently achieve sustainable Customer Service Level for domestic within the Working Capital and Freshness objectives by ensuring that the weekly planning process is executed on time.


• Inventory Management: Balance the need for product availability versus the need to minimise costs of inventory to ensure optimum stocks of the right material in the right location


• Analyze and evaluate the supply plan and net despatch requirements to satisfy customer needs taking into account the network complexity and the supply constraints.


• "Establish stock policies for Finished Goods. To do this for Inter Market Supply together with Planners of Producing Markets.


• Periodically review the stock level of the domestic to pro-actively look for solutions in case of deviations."


• Analyse and effectively communicate relevant information highlighting all supply issues and detailing impacts of proposed actions and related trade offs;


• Ensuring actions and Supply Plans are realistic and achievable In accordance with the Business Planning process"

What Will Make You Successful,

• Two or four years of relevant operational experience at market/business level is useful, in at least one of the following areas:


• • Demand & Supply Planning
  • Project Management in the area of DSP


• Leadership role in one of the functions across Generating Demand or other Ensuring Supply areas of:


• • Sales / Marketing
  • Technical & Production
  • Customer Service

  • Supply Chain Development
  • Purchasing


• Desirable to have had worked in a LEAN organization, who has adapted LEAN concepts and tools as part of their way of working.


• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.


• Has 2+ years of working experience in related field.
