Job summary

Pivotal Systems (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in Kedah is seeking a skilled operator to set up, run, and monitor CNC machines and surface finishing processes for precision parts.

You will perform TIG welding, drilling, and basic fabrication, loading materials and adjusting tooling. Reading drawings and performing precise inspections are essential to ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Minimum technical qualification in machining or manufacturing technology (SPM/ITI/Certificate/Diploma).
• Experience operating CNC machines or performing surface finishing and TIG welding in a precision engineering environment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Hands-on knowledge of precision measuring instruments for QC.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines and surface finishing equipment (polishing, deburring, electropolishing, passivation).
• Perform TIG welding and basic fabrication for small precision parts.
• Load raw materials, unload finished parts, and adjust tooling, fixtures, and offsets.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work orders.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, and precision instruments.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment or quality issues and maintain production documentation.
• Follow safety procedures, wear required PPE, and maintain a 5S-compliant workspace.
• Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.

Requirements:

Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical schematics, and work instructions.

Hands-on knowledge of precision measuring instruments and quality control inspection techniques.

Strong mechanical problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, strong sense of responsibility, and ability to work independently.
