Responsibilities

• Learn preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting under supervision.
• Conduct quality checks and use testing equipment according to specifications.
• Maintain logs and reports and follow SOPs, 5S, ESD and OSH rules.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows and participate in team problem-solving.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Trainee Technician to join our technical team. This entry‑level position is specifically designed for fresh graduates with a background in engineering, technical, or vocational studies who are looking to kickstart their technical careers in a hands‑on production and manufacturing environment.

Under the guidance of senior technicians and engineers, you will undergo structured on‑the‑job training (OJT) to learn machinery operations, equipment maintenance, assembly processes, and quality assurance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• On‑the‑Job Training & Operations:


• Participate actively in structured technical training programs across various manufacturing lines (e.g., SMT, manual assembly, testing, or mechanical setup).


• Assist senior technicians in operating, setting up, and monitoring machinery and equipment.


• Maintenance & Troubleshooting:


• Learn and execute routine preventive maintenance (PM) schedules for production machinery.


• Assist in basic technical troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and equipment repairs under supervision.


• Quality Assurance & Testing:


• Conduct standard quality checks and visual inspections on in-process and finished products according to technical specifications.


• Learn and operate testing equipment and functional test jigs.


• Documentation & Compliance:


• Maintain precise operational logs, maintenance records, and daily checklist reports.


• Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), 5S housekeeping standards, Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) controls, and Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) regulations.


• Identify opportunities for workflow or process improvement and participate in team problem‑solving initiatives.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education:


• Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or SKM/DKM (Malaysian Skills Certificate/Diploma) in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Telecommunications, Industrial Technology, or a related field.


• Experience: Fresh Graduates are highly encouraged to apply. No prior full‑time experience is required.


• Technical Skills & Attributes:


• Basic understanding of electronic components, mechanical tools, or technical drawings/schematics.


• Eagerness to learn, strong work ethic, and a hands‑on, practical mindset.


• Good problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.


• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.


• Language Skills: Basic written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.


• Work Requirements: Willingness to work in a shift environment or cleanroom/manufacturing facility if required.
