Job summary

The Test Technician role at ADVANCED ENERGY INDUSTRIES (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. involves performing calibration checks on electronic instruments and supporting production with unit tests.

You will conduct semi-routine engineering tests, maintain detailed logs, and participate in yield and continuous improvement activities. Ideal candidates have 3–4 years of experience in a manufacturing electrical test field, the ability to read schematics, and strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibration checks on electronic instruments.
• Support production schedule with unit tests.
• Conduct semi-routine engineering tests and detailed experiments.
• Maintain logs of all activities with accuracy.
• Participate in yield improvement and continuous improvement actions.
• Assist test fixture and equipment design and evaluation.
• Maintain Test Program and equipment with Engineer support.
• Adhere to quality, health, safety and environmental policies.

Job description

The Test Technician performs engineering work. Work at this level is not complex. Some wide variety of complex technical tasks will have engineer’s instructions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs calibration checks on electronic instruments.

Perform unit test to support production schedule.

Conducts semi-routine engineering and detailed experimental tests.

Keeps detailed and accurate logs on all assigned activities.

Participate in yield and continuous improvement action.

Help to control SPC and GR&R.

Assists engineers to design, development, construction, and evaluation of test fixture and equipment.

Understands, sustains and maintains test program, maintains test equipment system with Test Engineer support.

Adhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies and general duty of care.

Maintain confidentiality of all information related to the production processes and components, business and other technology including materials.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to read electronic schematics.

Ability to exercise good judgment to resolve problems.

Good communication ability and team work.

Knowledge of testing instruments, such as Digital Scope, DMM, Generator, computer etc.

Knowledge of Basic English ability, reading ability is preferred.

Good computational and technical skills.

EXPERIENCE:

3 - 4years of experience working in manufacturing electrical test field.

Good operating skills to DMM, Oscilloscope, Genator, Functional genitor and so on.

Ability to product test procedure.

EDUCATION:

Diploma or Technical school, or equivalent education and/or experience.
