Job summary

Infineon Technologies Malaysia is seeking a Technician/Snr Technician/staff Technician for the Manufacturing and Operations team. You will perform preventive maintenance on PM equipment in a high-tech cleanroom, ensure safety and 5S compliance, and support ongoing improvements.

The role requires a Diploma or Certificate and about 3–4 years of relevant experience, with strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with multiple shifts and teams.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma is required.
• 3–4 years of relevant experience in manufacturing/maintenance.
• Solid understanding of equipment concepts and procedures.
• Strong adherence to 5S and safety protocols.
• Good communication within teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine Preventive Maintenance (PM) for multiple functional areas.
• Perform standard calibration on PM equipment.
• Fill up PM documentation (e.g., e-checklist, TECO).
• Prepare parts or consumables for PM; record tool parameters.
• Perform consumable/medium change and service parts/assemblies.
• Diagnose and replace worn parts; report abnormalities.
• Maintain safety standards during duties.
• Keep facilities free of hazards; uphold 5S and safety.
• Assist internal technicians after PM activities.
• Provide training for junior PM technicians; suggest improvements.

Your role
Key responsibilities in your new role

• Perform routine Preventive Maintenance (PM) for multiple functional area.
• Perform standard calibration on the PM equipment.
• Fill up PM documentation as required (eg e-checklist, TECO)
• Parts or comsumbles preparation for PM Carry out routine check and recording on the tool parameters.
• Perform consumble/medium change out. Perform rebuild or service of parts/assemblies/swap kits.
• Diagnose and replace worn parts in PM equipment- “Report and Escalate abnormality”
• Ensure that safety standards are maintained in the course of performing duties
• Ensure that the facility areas and work environment are free of hazardous objects and substances (Leakage / 5S)
• Ensure the compliance to 5S, Cleanroom & Safety Protocol Assist internal maintenance technicians when PM activities completed.
• Perform training and guidance for fresh/junior PM technician on the job procedure.
• Provide work area and procedural improvement for the team.

• Certificate/Diploma is a must.
• Approximately 3 to 4 years of relevant job experience
• Extent of technical knowledge in own area.
• Understanding of equipment concepts.
• Strong discipline to work with procedures.
• Extent of technical knowledge in other areas.
• Knowledge of team, process & equipment required for own tasks
• Understanding of job in own work team.
• Select & follow described procedures in system.
• Daily communication with team, management, and other individual in other areas.
• Medium level communication skills is required to present ideas and solution.
• Complexity of information: Medium. Level of sensitivity to audience(persuasion, influence, motivation, negotiation)
• Focus on update task status and report of abnormality information
• Analysis and discussion of improvement project.
• Ability to interact within a clear team structure.
