Job summary

Infineon Technologies Malaysia in Malacca City seeks a Senior Engineer Facility Management to optimize water services and wastewater treatment, ensuring reliability and sustainability in our manufacturing operations. You will lead projects, manage regulatory compliance with DOE and local agencies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance digital tooling and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Ultra-Pure Water (UPW), Wastewater Treatment, and/or Sewerage Treatment Systems within semiconductor facilities or related industries.
• Experience in operation, maintenance, optimization, and project management of water systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive optimization and continuous improvement of water/ wastewater systems to enhance productivity, reliability, and environmental sustainability.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and corporate requirements; liaise with DOE, SAMB, and other authorities.
• Develop and implement capacity monitoring and planning processes using tools like Tableau, SAP, and related systems.
• Define and maintain roadmaps, specifications, databases, and documentation for water systems.
• Lead or support project execution from feasibility through design, cost control, and handover.
• Serve as site focal point providing technical support to project and operations teams.
• Act as local site technical expert within Facility Management Cluster for knowledge sharing.
• Lead or support problem-solving and continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma, 8D, SPC and related methods.

Your role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Responsible for driving optimization and continuous improvement of water services and wastewater treatment systems to enhance productivity, reliability, operational stability, and environmental sustainability
• Ensure zero legal and corporate non-compliance related to water services and wastewater treatment systems. Maintain strong working relationships with local authorities such as the Department of Environment (DOE), Syarikat Air Melaka Berhad (SAMB), and other relevant agencies
• Develop and implement effective capacity monitoring and planning processes to ensure timely fulfillment of water service and wastewater treatment demands through tools such as Tableau, SAP, and other relevant systems
• Define and maintain the technology roadmap, specifications, databases, and documentation for water services and wastewater treatment systems in compliance with local regulations and corporate requirements
• Lead and/or support project execution activities, including but not limited to feasibility studies, budgeting, preparation and approval of design criteria, engineering calculations, specifications, drawings, documentation, cost control, reporting, and project handover
• Serve as the site focal point for water services and wastewater treatment systems by providing technical support to both project and operations teams
• Act as the local site technical expert and representative for discussions, knowledge sharing, and collaboration within the Facility Management Cluster
• Lead and/or support problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as 8D, Lean Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control (SPC), change management, and other improvement tools

Your profile

Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or a related discipline)
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in Ultra-Pure Water (UPW), Wastewater Treatment, and/or Sewerage Treatment Systems within the semiconductor industry, facilities management, engineering services, or related industries
• Experience in the operation, maintenance, optimization, and project management of water and wastewater treatment systems is an added advantage
