Job summary

Dormakaba Production Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking aMaintenance Technician to perform periodic maintenance, promptly address equipment breakdowns, and drive root-cause analysis. You will repair parts in the WIP area, report findings to the Assistance Engineer or Manager, and keep the work area clean and organized.

Responsibilities

• Perform periodic maintenance and preventive tasks.
• Attend to breakdowns immediately and rectify root causes.
• Repair spare parts/equipment in the WIP area.
• Report to Assistance Engineer/Manager on breakdowns and follow up.
• Maintain housekeeping of the work area.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects (Kaizen).

Managerial and Coordination Requirements:

· Perform periodic maintenance.

· Ensure breakdown are attended to immediately and root cause rectified quickly.

· Repair spare part / equipment in the WIP area.

· Report to Assistance Engineer / Manager on breakdown and follow up.

· Responsible for housekeeping of the work area.

· Improvement project (Kaizen).

Degree of Complexity / Degree of Freedom

· Coordination with local functions including Production, Purchasing, Planning and QC.

· Continuously improve machinery, focusing preventive maintenance.

· Improve energy efficiency by locating and eliminating wastage.

Authority:

· To stop machine when there is a hazard.

Qualification

· Minimum Diploma in Engineering.

Experience

· Minimum 2 years of experience in related field.

Knowledge / Skill

· Result-orientated and team worker.

· Able to work independently with minimum

supervision.

· Good interpersonal skill.
