Job summary

Sime Darby Motors is seeking an automotive technician to support high-quality repairs aligned with Porsche standards. You will manage repair documentation, identify additional work, and ensure vehicle safety for a one-time fix on every repair.

The role requires an automotive engineering degree or diploma and at least three years of hands-on experience, with strong communication skills and meticulous documentation.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Automotive Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience as an automotive technician.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to repair quality, vehicle safety and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Follow, validate and complete work instructions provided on Repair Orders according to Porsche Standards.
• Complete PQIS lines with detailed information for all retail and warranty repairs.
• Create and provide Parts and Labour quotations for additional work identified during repairs.
• Create and transmit Vehicle Analysis Logs for every repair.
• Create and attach Battery Check Sheets for every repair.
• Ensure the completeness of Service Maintenance Sheets, Warranty Inspection Sheets and Grey Market Sheets for every associated repair.
• Maintain a high repair standard to support a one-time fix.
• Report in writing any repair or defect that may render a vehicle unsafe.
• Take appropriate precautions to prevent vehicles from being damaged while under repair.
• Ensure vehicles are connected to battery chargers while under repair.
• Remove disabled vehicles from hoists to enable the next repair to begin.
• Use all special tools and hand tools as intended and in a responsible manner.
