Job summary

Ultra Clean Technology in Malaysia is seeking a Technician III to join our QA team, performing quality inspections, programming for CMMs, and contributing to process improvement in a cleanroom environment.

The role requires reading 2D drawings with GD&T, experience with measurement equipment (Mitutoyo/Hexagon), and collaboration with Process Engineers, QA, and IPQC to ensure conformance and first article inspections.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of working experience in QA/quality inspection.
• Familiar with 2D drawings and GD&T interpretations.
• Able to read and write simple Bahasa Malaysia & English.

Responsibilities

• Program equipment such as CMM, Profile projector, caliper, height gauge, micrometer, and roughness tester.
• Review settings and connections, verify problems, and identify root causes.
• Identify process abnormalities using SPC charts and communicate with QA Engineers.
• Interpret 2D drawings with GD&T understanding.
• Monitor first article qualification and prepare reports.
• Coordinate with Process Engineer to design measurement jigs.
• Train staff to execute tasks effectively.
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications and 6S in QA lab.

Job Summary:

• Quality control inspectors ensure that products meet quality and safety standards. Responsible for performing inspections, checks, and tests for quality control for the manufacture of products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Able to perform programming for equipment such as CMM, Profile projector, caliper, height gauge, micrometer, and roughness tester.
• Familiar with the equipment's general operation and be able to review the settings, and connections, verify the problem, and be able to correct or identify the root
• cause of the equipment problems.
• Familiar and understanding of the various SPC charts and controls. Able to identify process abnormality and feedback to production and QA Engineers.
• Able to interpret technical/mechanical 2D drawings with an understanding of GD&T.
• Monitor on the qualification (first article) process. Compile and analyze qualification data.
• Perform first article inspection, capabilities studies, and inspection report.
• Liaise with the Process Engineer to design and fabricate measurement/holding jig.
• Work with the IPQC team on GR&R.
• Review the GR&R / FAI and Cp-Cpk report before sharing the report with QA Engineer
• Prepare work instructions.
• Trains and develops the staff under his/her responsibility how to execute their work effectively.
• Ensure compliance with customer specification requirements.
• Practice 6S and maintain cleanliness and efficiency in the QA lab.
• To perform any other task assigned by his/her superior from time to time.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in practicing Microsoft Office: MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
• Must be computer literate.
• Good command in Mathematics.
• Able to operate and write CMM programming either on Mitutoyo or Hexagon Machine.
• Knowledge of interpretation GT&D and reading 2D drawing.
• Knowledge of using other measuring equipment, micrometers, calipers, Optical comparators, profile projectors, surface roughness, and other measuring and test
• equipment, and related QA measurement equipment.
• Must be able to read and apply production instructions, drawings, and specifications at a proficient level.
• Good knowledge of understanding and reading Drawings.
• Ability to ensure and maintain working relations with inter-department, customers, and vendors.

Educational/Certification Requirement:

• Candidate must possess at least a SPM/"O" Level, Higher Secondary/STPM/"A" Level/Pre-U, Professional Certificate or equivalent.
• Able to read and write simple Bahasa Malaysia & English.

Experience Requirement:

• Able to carry heavy loads (up to 20Kg)
• Must be willing to work in a cleanroom environment: wearing jumpsuits, safety helmets, and safety shoes.
• Must be willing to work shift work and OT if required.

Work Experience:

• At least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
