Job summary

UCT in Malaysia is seeking an Operator II to manage degreasing, pickling, passivation, electro polish, and washing on the manufacturing line. You will oversee production output, quality, and on-time delivery while following process improvement and safety guidelines.

The role requires basic English, ability to read drawings, and willingness to work shifts in a cleanroom setting. Prior manufacturing exposure and physical ability to lift up to 20 kg are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Read basic engineering drawings and understand work instructions.
• 1 year manufacturing experience preferred or prior manufacturing exposure.
• Must be able to read and write simple English.
• Be willing to work in a cleanroom environment with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for production and quality output.
• Perform processes according to schedule, specifications, drawings, and work instructions.
• Ensure full and efficient passdown to the next shift.
• Highlight any problems or abnormalities.
• Provide training activities for new comer (buddy system).
• Take part in continuous improvement activities.
• Perform housekeeping, adhere to manufacturing discipline and cleanroom protocol.
• Support any relevant ad hoc duties and tasks assigned by the superior.

Role Summary:

Responsible for manufacturing degreasing, pickling, passivation, electro polish, washing processes, production output, quality, on-time delivery, process improvement, safety and housekeeping in the manufacturing line to manufacture high quality products for customers with the objective of ensuring smooth business operations within department guidelines, work protocols and corporate policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for production and quality output

Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

• Able to work independently
• Able to speak and write simple English
• Able to read and interpret basic Engineering drawing
• Team player with good problem solving skills
• Basic computer literacy.
• Able to carry heavy loads (up to 20Kg) ·
• Must be willing to work in the cleanroom environment: wearing jumpsuits, safety helmet and safety shoes

Must be willing to work shift work and OT if required1 year manufacturing experience preferred or prior working experience in manufacturing environment

2 years of working experience in the related field would be an advantage

1-2 years working in machine shop, assembly clean rooms. Semi-Conductor and/or similar industry

Education, Certifications, Requirements:

• N/O levels/Nitec in any discipline or its equivalent ·
• At least SPM for Malaysian or equivalent cert in other countries.

• Work is performed primarily in a manufacturing and/or environment

Physical Demands :

• Ability to climb, stoops, kneels, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull and grasp.
• Ability to stand for sustained periods of time.
• Ability to exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 15 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Ability to move arms, hands and fingers.
• Required to have visual acuity to perform assigned tasks
• Required to wear personal protective equipment
• Subject to hazards including electrical current, moving mechanical parts, exposure to chemicals and debris.
• Required to have visual acuity to perform assigned tasks.
• Overnight Travel
• Work may require out of town travel depending upon assignment (training and meeting)
