Job summary

NMUC in Kuala Lumpur seeks a facilities maintenance technician to support campus operations. The role covers routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of buildings, classrooms, laboratories, and offices, plus basic electrical and mechanical tasks.

You will perform HVAC and plumbing checks, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with contractors for major air-conditioning repairs. A technical qualification and 1–2 years of relevant experience are favored.

Qualifications

• Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Maintenance, Facilities Management, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in facility maintenance, building maintenance, engineering, or a similar role is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, air-conditioning, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
• Able to perform basic troubleshooting and repair works.

Responsibilities

• Building & facility maintenance: carry out routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of campus facilities, buildings, rooms, offices, classrooms, laboratories, and common areas.
• Electrical & mechanical maintenance: conduct basic inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems, lighting, switches, sockets, and other related equipment.
• Air-conditioning & plumbing: perform basic inspection and troubleshooting of air-conditioning systems and related equipment.
• Coordinate with appointed contractors or service providers for major air-conditioning repairs and servicing.
