Job summary

WIT Venture Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur seeks an executive-level maintenance professional to take independent ownership of maintenance matters across electrical systems and related building facilities. Responsibilities

  • Plan, organise, and carry out preventive maintenance works for electrical systems, equipment, M&E items, and related building facilities according to the approved schedule.
  • Monitor upcoming servicing, inspection, replacement, testing, and maintenance requirements and ensure timely action is taken.
  • Track pending maintenance items and ensure proper follow-through until completion.
  • Inspect, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems, switchboards, panels, wiring, lighting, control systems, and related facility infrastructure.
  • Ensure systems are kept in safe, serviceable, and operational condition.
  • Identify early signs of wear, breakdown risk, defects, or unsafe conditions and take timely corrective action.
  • Attend to report faults, defects, breakdowns, and maintenance complaints promptly.
  • Investigate the cause of issues, take practical interim action where necessary, and follow through until proper rectification and closure.
  • Where the matter cannot be immediately resolved, ensure timely escalation, coordination, temporary risk control, status reporting, and continued follow-up.
  • Conduct routine inspection, testing, readings, and checks on maintenance systems and equipment.
  • Verify the condition, functionality, and safety of equipment after service, repair, replacement, or rectification.
  • Ensure completed works are properly checked and not merely marked complete without reasonable verification.
  • Coordinate and supervise contractors, suppliers, service providers, and technicians engaged for maintenance, repair, servicing, inspection, or replacement works.
  • Ensure works are properly arranged, followed up, attended, monitored, and recorded.
  • Check whether vendor or contractor works are carried out according to requirements, timelines, and expected standards.
  • Prepare and submit all required daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc maintenance reports.
  • Maintain proper records of service reports, inspection logs, readings, complaints, defects, rectification status, quotations, invoices, approvals, parts usage, and maintenance history.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and complete updates to Management.
  • Escalate urgent or unresolved matters promptly with proper explanation, status, risk, and recommended action.
  • Ensure maintenance works are carried out in accordance with safety requirements, site rules, SOPs, and applicable statutory or regulatory requirements relevant to the role.
  • Observe and immediately report any safety concern, electrical risk, non-compliance, or hazardous condition.
  • Where relevant to your competency, licence, or assigned responsibility, support compliance with chargeman-related obligations and safe electrical operation practices.
  • Safeguard tools, equipment, spare parts, maintenance stock, and related Company property.
  • Ensure proper use, storage, care, and accountability of maintenance tools and materials.
  • Keep maintenance rooms, plant rooms, electrical rooms, and work areas orderly, clean, and safe.
  • Support urgent operational requirements affecting guest experience, safety, service continuity, or facility functionality.
  • Where urgent assigned work is at risk and no one else is available to perform or complete it, you are expected to take all reasonable steps necessary, including personal hands-on involvement where appropriate, to ensure the Company’s work is properly progressed, protected, and completed.
  • Comply with all Company SOPs, rules, approval processes, controls, and lawful instructions.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all Company and operational information.
  • Perform any other lawful duties as reasonably assigned by Management from time to time.

Job description

This is an executive-level maintenance position with enhanced responsibility for independent ownership, coordination, inspection, troubleshooting, execution support, reporting, follow-through, escalation, and closure of maintenance matters assigned by the Company.

Your duties shall include, but shall not be limited to, the following:

A. Maintenance Planning and Preventive Execution Control

  • Ensure works are properly arranged, followed up, attended, monitored, and recorded.
  • Check whether vendor or contractor works are carried out according to requirements, timelines, and expected standards.
F. Reporting, Documentation and Escalation
