Job summary

Volt Auto Pte. Ltd. in Malaysia is seeking a Technician to provide technical assistance and support to dealers and internal teams. You will diagnose issues, offer on-site and remote support, and help with installation, testing and commissioning of automotive products and systems.

You will document problems and solutions, stay updated on vehicle tech and tools, and assist in dealer training and warranty assessments. Travel to dealer locations is expected as required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in automotive technology or related field.
• 1–3 years' experience in automotive service or technical support.
• Hands‑on experience with diagnostics, service tools and troubleshooting.
• Willingness to travel to dealer locations for support.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues reported by dealers or internal teams promptly.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support for vehicle systems, service procedures and equipment.
• Assist in installation, testing and commissioning of automotive products and systems.

The Technician provides technical assistance and support to dealers and internal teams, ensuring smooth operation of automotive systems, prompt troubleshooting of technical issues, and contributing to excellent aftersales service delivery. This role is key in maintaining dealer satisfaction and supporting the Technical Department in operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues reported by dealers or internal teams promptly.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Certificate in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 1-3 years' experience in automotive service, technical support, or related field.
• Hands‑on experience with vehicle diagnostics, service tools, and technical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with automotive systems, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with dealers and internal teams.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Willingness to travel to dealer locations for technical support as required.
• Proactive attitude with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.

Working Conditions

• Office‑based with frequent visits to dealer locations.
• May require occasional overtime during technical emergencies or training sessions.
• Hands‑on work with vehicles, diagnostic equipment, and technical tools.

Authority & Decision‑Making

• Authorized to provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to dealers under supervision of Technical Executive/Manager.
• Escalate unresolved technical issues to Technical Executive or Manager promptly.
