Job summary

ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors in Malaysia seeks a senior maintenance engineering lead to own plasma etch equipment and drive uptime KPIs. You will lead cross-functional teams across Production, Process, Quality and EHS, ensuring safe, compliant operations and sustained equipment performance.

The role requires a Bachelor in Engineering and 8+ years of front-end wafer fabrication experience, with strong knowledge of OEE, SPC, FDC, DMAIC and problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or above.
• Min 8 years of front-end semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment working experience.
• Min 8 years of experience and competency in manufacturing, process engineering, product or process development.
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams (process & equipment engineering, production).
• Front-end wafer fabrication process/equipment/material engineering/manufacturing experience.
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Full ownership of plasma tools (Plasma etch) and ownership on Equipment Uptime, OEE, MTTR, MTBF, cost, capability and stability, quality, and other related KPIs.
• Lead equipment start-up/transfer, qualification and ramp related projects.
• Define maintenance procedures and maintenance plan; define critical spare parts and ensure sufficient stock in place.
• Create and maintain documentation, certification & compliance of procedures in assigned areas according to safety & quality standards.
• Plan maintenance spending budget and ensure spending is within budget.
• Provide related training to engineers and maintenance technicians; own HIRADC and Safety for equipment and production environment.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance & consultancy on equipment engineering topics with cross-functional teams; supervise a group of maintenance technicians(shift crews).

• Full equipment ownership on plasma tools (Plasma etch) - SPTS Omega, SPTS Mosai cand ownership on Equipment Uptime, OEE, MTTR, MTBF, cost, capability and stability, quality, and other related KPIs
• Lead equipment start-up/transfer, qualification and ramp related projects
• Define maintenance procedure and maintenance plan. Define critical spare part required and ensure sufficient stock in place
• Create and maintain documentation, certification & compliance of procedure in assigned functional areas according to safety & quality standard to meet legal & customer requirements
• Plan maintenance spending budget and ensure the spending are within budget
• Provide related training to engineers and maintenance technicians. Owner to HIRADC and Safety to equipment and production environment
• Provide technical leadership, guidance & consultancy on equipment engineering topics with cross-functional teams (Production, Process & Integration, Quality, Industrial Engineering, EHS, IT, Facility, Quality, Fab Management). Supervise a goup of maintenance technician(shift crews)

• Bachelor degree or above in Engineering
• Min 8 years of front-end semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment working experience
• Min 8 years of experience and competency in manufacturing, process engineering, product or process development
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams (process & equipment engineering, production)
• Front-end wafer fabrication process/equipment/material engineering/manufacturing experience.
• Being skilled in OEE, SPC, FDC, 8D problem solving, FMEA, DMAIC, TWI
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
