Job summary

Soon Soon Oilmills Sdn. Bhd. invites an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to support operation teams across plant facilities.

You will troubleshoot electrical/instrumentation issues, perform motor servicing, and assist in maintaining HV/LV substations. The role requires safety awareness and ability to work rotating shifts at Pulau Indah. With a minimum SKM Level 3 / Diploma in Electrical and at least 2 years of experience, you will help ensure minimum downtime and reliable plant operations

Qualifications

• Certification in electrical work at least SKM Level 3 or higher.
• Diploma or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Chargeman certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Electrical Engineer to lead and train junior electricians in repairs and troubleshooting.
• Carry out motor servicing for electrical AC motors and motor starters up to 200 kW.
• Perform preventive maintenance on sensors, RTD/thermocouples, transmitters and switches.
• Support repair and maintenance of switchboards, circuit breakers and transformers at HV/LV substations.
• Plan, monitor and implement PM schedules for electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Provide technical reports by collecting and analyzing data and trends.
• Maintain facilities equipment such as air compressors and chillers.

Job description

To provide electrical and instrumentation system support to operation teams to achieve operation target. To troubleshoot and solve the electrical and instrumentation system problem in operation and minimize equipment downtime. To ensure all laws and regulation related to electrical system and installation are complied with by authority.

Key responsibilities

Assist Electrical Engineer to lead and train the junior electricians in repairs/service task, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Carry out motor servicing for electrical AC motors and motor starter to 200kw

Carry out effective preventative maintenance as per scheduled for electrical and instruments field equipment in plants, such as sensors, RTD/Thermocouple, level switches, transmitter, limit switches, push button, control valves, pneumatic cylinder

Assist competent Chargeman / Technical Executive to perform repair and maintenance, preventive maintenance tasks on all switch boards, circuit breakers and transformer at HV & LV substations

Assist Electrical Engineer / Technical Executive to Plan, monitor and implement electrical and instrumentation systems meet preventive maintenance schedule and target

Provide technical report on electrical issues by collecting, analyzing, summarizing information and trend

Carry out effective preventive maintenance for facilities equipment such as air compressor, chiller, air conditioner, lighting system

About you

Posses electrical Certification Min SKM Level 3/ Diploma in Electrical / Certification Chargemen with minimum A0 grade

Minimum 2 years relevant working experience

Knowledge of Basic Pneumatic, utilities, PLC and automation system

Able to work on rotating shift

Willing to work at Pulau Indah

Possess own transport and valid driving license
