Job summary

NHS Engineering Services Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks a field technician to attend to breakdowns, diagnose faults and perform maintenance on overhead cranes and goods hoists, ensuring minimal downtime and safe operation.

You will install, commission, test electrical wiring and fixtures, prepare service reports, and work overtime or travel as required. A Professional Certificate in Electrical Engineering and a valid GDL driving license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Possess at least a Professional Certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2 to 5 years working experience in the related field.
• Able to work at height.
• Possess valid Malaysia driving license and GDL license.
• Willing to work overtime and/or travel outstation when required.

Responsibilities

• Attend breakdowns, identify faults and minimize downtime to production.
• Carry out diagnosis of faults, maintenance and repairs to overhead crane and goods hoist in a safe, timely and professional manner.
• Report breakdown root causes and express concerns to management.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of overhead crane and goods hoist.
• Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems to locate and correct problems.
• Ensure all works comply with quality standards and regulations.
• Prepare service and installation documents, reports, logs and records.

Job description

This role involves attending to breakdowns, identifying faults and problem‑solving with minimal downtime to production. You will carry out diagnosis of faults, maintenance and repairs to overhead crane and goods hoist in a safe, timely and professional manner.

Key responsibilities

Carry out diagnosis of faults, maintenance and repairs to overhead crane and goods hoist in a safe, timely and professional manner

Report breakdown root causes, equipment faults and express concerns to management

Assist with the installation and commissioning of overhead crane and goods hoist

Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools

Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem

Ensure all works are undertaken to a high quality standard and adheres to all quality standard regulations

Prepare documents for service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records

About you

Possess at least a Professional Certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

2 to 5 years working experience in the related field

Able to work at height

Possess valid Malaysia driving license and GDL license

Willing to work overtime and/or travel outstation when required

Follow management/customers' work schedule at all times i.e. Public Holiday, Saturday/Sunday
