To provide advanced technical expertise in installation, commissioning, diagnostics, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of heavy lifting equipment, particularly crawler cranes and mobile cranes. The role supports operational reliability, equipment safety, technical capability development, and continuous improvement by applying specialized engineering knowledge and extensive field experience. The position is responsible for verifying that all heavy lifting assets comply with local authority such as Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) safety standards, while leading a structured training program to transfer specialized crane maintenance skills to local Malaysian technical staff.

Provide specialized technical engineering expertise in diagnosing, calibrating, and resolving highly complex electromechanical, automated control, and fluid power infrastructure issues on crawler and mobile cranes. Execute high-level technical troubleshooting and configuration tracking during the commissioning of mobile crane assets to verify structural compliance.

Key responsibilities

Provide specialized technical engineering expertise in diagnosing, calibrating, and resolving highly complex electromechanical, automated control, and fluid power infrastructure issues on crawler and mobile cranes

Execute high-level technical troubleshooting and configuration tracking during the commissioning of mobile crane assets to verify structural compliance

Formulate, implement, and track advanced preventive and corrective engineering maintenance systems to actively minimize asset breakdowns and maximize crane lifecycle reliability

Oversee root-cause failure high-level engineering overhauls of mobile crane powertrain configurations and complex electro-hydraulic assemblies

Perform engineering-level structural assessments on crane machinery components, tracking failure metrics, and implementing advanced predictive technical countermeasures

Function as the lead technical authority, rendering advanced advisory support and logic system troubleshooting assistance to mechanical and electrical teams

Spearhead a structured local workforce technology-transfer initiative, mentoring local Malaysian junior engineers to enhance collective electromechanical technical competencies

Schedule, monitor, and sign off on high-level fleet lifecycle engineering interventions to ensure maximum equipment availability

Conceptualize and recommend strategic engineering adjustments to heavy crane systems to optimize performance margins and safety tracking loops

Manage direct technical coordination with heavy machinery original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), component suppliers, and regulatory bodies on elite diagnostic matters

Certify structural weight limits and system load tracking profiles to guarantee full compliance with local authority such as statutory Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) regulatory frameworks

Adhere to Company Safety Rules and Regulations and Work Procedures at all times

Qualifications and Experience

Degree in Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent

Minimum of 10 years hands on maintenance experience in cranes or heavy equipment and machinery industry

Able to lead and guide a team of mechanics to achieve departmental objectives
