Job summary

Holiday Inn & Suites Penang Prai is seeking a proactive Maintenance Technician to perform daily inspection and preventive maintenance of hotel facilities, equipment, and systems.

You will respond to maintenance requests, troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC and mechanical issues, and assist external contractors while upholding safety and energy conservation standards.

• Monitor and maintain hotel equipment, machinery, and utility systems.
• Record maintenance work, equipment conditions, and completed repairs accurately.
• Assist external contractors during repair and maintenance works.

• Perform daily inspection and maintenance of hotel facilities, equipment, and systems.
• Carry out preventive maintenance according to the scheduled maintenance plan.
• Attend to maintenance requests and guest/colleague complaints promptly.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, mechanical, and other building-related issues.
• Monitor and maintain hotel equipment, machinery, and utility systems.
• Record maintenance work, equipment conditions, and completed repairs accurately.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and urgent maintenance issues when required.
• Assist contractors and external service providers during repair and maintenance works.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with hotel safety, health, and environmental standards.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and cleanliness of engineering workshops, tools, and work areas.
• Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and safely stored.
• Support energy and water conservation initiatives within the hotel.
• Follow hotel policies, procedures, and applicable engineering and safety standards.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Chief Engineer or Engineering Manager.
