Job summary

MOXY Putrajaya is seeking a hands-on Technician to join our Engineering Crew and keep the hotel operating at its best.

You'll perform preventive maintenance, respond to guest maintenance requests, and troubleshoot a variety of systems across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building services to ensure a safe, comfortable guest experience. Strong problem-solving and team collaboration are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel engineering or facilities maintenance preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair hotel systems and equipment.
• Comfortable working independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and resolve issues efficiently and professionally.
• Perform preventive maintenance on hotel equipment, systems, and facilities.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, kitchen, and general building equipment.
• Carry out routine maintenance tasks and air-conditioning filter changes.
• Maintain guestrooms, public areas, back-of-house facilities, and external areas in good condition.
• Repair and maintain plumbing fixtures, electrical outlets, switches, appliances, televisions, and guestroom equipment.
• Monitor and maintain building utilities, equipment shut-off systems, and safety controls.
• Assist with landscaping maintenance and irrigation system repairs as required.
• Maintain engineering inventory and request parts, tools, and supplies as needed.
• Document maintenance activities and communicate ongoing issues to other shifts.
• Follow safety policies and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Support sustainability and energy conservation initiatives.

As a Technician, you'll play a key role in maintaining the hotel's facilities, equipment, and guest rooms to ensure a safe, comfortable, and memorable experience for our guests. Whether responding to maintenance requests, performing preventive maintenance, or troubleshooting technical issues, you'll be an essential part of creating the Moxy experience.

What You'll Do

• Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and resolve issues efficiently and professionally.
• Perform preventive maintenance on hotel equipment, systems, and facilities to ensure optimal performance.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, kitchen, and general building equipment.
• Carry out routine maintenance tasks including painting, drywall repair, woodwork touch-ups, light bulb replacement, and air-conditioning filter changes.
• Maintain hotel guestrooms, public areas, back-of-house facilities, and external areas in excellent condition.
• Repair and maintain plumbing fixtures, electrical outlets, switches, appliances, televisions, internet devices, and other guestroom equipment.
• Monitor and maintain building utilities, equipment shut-off systems, and safety controls.
• Assist with landscaping maintenance and irrigation system repairs as required.
• Maintain engineering inventory and request parts, tools, and supplies when necessary.
• Accurately document maintenance activities and communicate ongoing issues to other shifts.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout requirements and safe work practices.
• Support sustainability and energy conservation initiatives throughout the property.
